NIHR Chairperson praises the special pardon and the release of 545 inmates.
Eng. Ali Ahmed Alderazi, the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Institution (NIHR), expressed his deep appreciation for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's gracious decree to grant a special pardon and release 545 inmates on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. He considered this a noble and civilized step that contributes to enhancing human rights and strengthening the cohesion of Bahraini society.
Alderazi explained that this initiative reinforces the justice and sovereignty of the law while simultaneously respecting the independence of the judiciary. He emphasized that this action aligns with the reformative approach that the Kingdom has been following since the inception of His Majesty's reform project. He appreciated His Majesty’s spirit of tolerance, noting that this spirit provides reassurance to everyone, strengthens community cohesion, and fosters a spirit of tolerance among its members.
